About Porta Coeli San German Funeral Home
Founded on June 2, 1953, Cementerio Porta Coeli was constructed during the episcopate of Monsignor James P. Davis. We have always been 1 of the larger cemeteries in Puerto Rico, which allows us to provide many options when it comes to a final resting place. Since the 1990s, the demand for cremations has grown. To better serve those who choose cremation, Cementerio Porta Coeli built a crematorium on the cemetery grounds.
Should any detail of our service not meet the expectations as promised in our agreement, we’ll do everything we can to make it right, up to refunding that portion of the service. Our cemetery originally belonged to the Archdiocese of San Juan, which ran the cemetery for nearly 3 decades until selling it to Santiago Jaláis in 1981. While we continue to serve Catholic families, we also serve people of many other religions and cultural backgrounds.
